The Zumidian Network Operations Center provides 24 x 7 x 365 support for numerous online games and service providers serving the gaming industry. 2x 12 hour shifts each weekend - Saturday and Sunday

As one of the members of the Zumidian Network Operations Center (NOC) team, you will be responding to various system alerts and monitoring our own and our client’s services for anomalies which we cover on a 24x7x365 basis.

This role will also support the Operations group, ensuring uptime and system functionality for various gaming platforms remains at acceptable levels and as per our SLA with each client.

It is crucial that the candidate can recognize service affecting problems, follow documented procedures, create tickets and track issues through to completion. Communication with outside vendors and client teams will be frequent, and we demand a high level of professionalism over both phone, email and instant messaging.

Beyond the daily tasks and responsibilities of this role, you will also contribute to automation projects, review and create new system monitors and graphs, system maintenance, virtual environment maintenance and remote data-centre actions as needed.

This is a remote contractor position.

Skills, Experience, and Other Requirements

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Windows (Desktop and Server) management and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years of Linux server management and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following scripting languages: Python, PHP
  • Network management and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (or other cloud platforms)
  • Experience with common monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Graphite
  • Stable, reliable access to the internet
  • A desktop or laptop computer capable of running modern AAA multiplayer games
  • Fluency in the English language
