Overview
Building operational confidence through playtests and open beta.
Theorycraft Games used Zumidian’s 24x7x365 GameOps layer to improve live visibility, accelerate response, and support SUPERVIVE through critical pre-launch and open beta windows.
Measurement
What 100% monitoring coverage means here.
Coverage is measured against SUPERVIVE’s production and live-service environments: every service in scope had monitoring in place, alerting configured, and a defined response path before player-facing windows opened.
In scope
CCU trends, login and queue health, matchmaking performance, error rates, player drop-off signals, and infrastructure anomalies.
What coverage does not mean
Coverage is not the same as zero incidents. It means no service in scope was unmonitored, and no alert had an undefined owner when it fired.
A 24x7x365 coverage model was in place across closed playtests and open beta, with a <1m 40s MTTA and zero downtime during open beta.
Challenge
Playtests expose operational gaps before launch does.
As SUPERVIVE moved through closed playtests and open beta, Theorycraft needed clear visibility into live-service signals that affected player experience: concurrent user trends, login and queue health, matchmaking performance, error rates, player drop-offs, and infrastructure anomalies.
The risk was not just whether issues could be detected. The risk was whether the right signals could be surfaced, qualified, and acted on fast enough during live player windows.
Zumidian's Role
An operational layer around SUPERVIVE’s live environment.
Zumidian worked with Theorycraft’s observability setup and live operations workflow to provide dashboard visibility, alerting, incident monitoring, and response readiness through closed playtests and open beta.
Operational Analytics
Custom dashboards turned live-service signals into actionable visibility for engineering, production, and stakeholders.
Incident Management
Continuous monitoring, incident qualification, and fast acknowledgement during live player windows.
Launch Stability & Release Operations
Coverage for closed playtests and open beta, with live monitoring and response readiness when player demand was highest.
Services Used
The signals that mattered during live player windows.
The value was not more data. The value was turning live-service signals into operational readiness during high-pressure player windows.
- CCU trends
- Matchmaking health
- Error rates
- Login and queue status
- Player drop-off signals
- Infrastructure anomalies
